A demonstrator funded by the UK e-Science programme has been developed using the Iris Explorer modular visualization system. This demonstrator enables a team of scientists to work together over the internet to collaboratively steer and visualize a simulation.

The demonstrator has been extended using Globus to run on a computational grid, whereby the simulation can be run on a Grid resource but the visualization and steering handled by scientists at their desktops.
